Ingredients and Nutritional Properties

Lemon

Squeezing half a lemon into your morning drink will fill your body with a high dose of vitamin C, flush toxins out of your body, and improve your skin. Lemons will provide you with the morning glow that you think some people are just born with. But maybe they just drink a lot of lemon juice, who knows? Lemons also have been known to boost your mood and your digestion. It’s a great way to reduce blood sugar levels and give your metabolism a kick in the pants.

Cayenne

A pinch of cayenne also pumps your body full of life. Its anti-fungal properties promote healing in your body as the spice fights to kill fungus and prevent fungal pathogens from forming in your body. The capsaicin found inside the pepper can help boost your metabolism and aid in weight loss. Cayenne can also aid your digestion, protect you from allergy symptoms, and reduce hunger.

Ginger

A teaspoon of this nutrient-dense root can lower inflammation in your body, manage nausea, and prevent sickness. Peel and chop it finely or add a splash of fresh-pressed ginger juice into your drink. Whether you are pregnant and feel the effects of morning sickness or are suffering from a hangover from the night before, try adding this natural prescription into your morning routine. The flavorful food can leave you feeling refreshed and energized while also working to reduce nausea.

Turmeric

Pinch in a little bit of this bright yellow spice, packed with anti-inflammatory properties into your drink. Curcumin, the main active ingredient in turmeric, contains powerful anti-inflammatory effects and is a strong antioxidant. Adding a dose of turmeric can relieve bodily pain and tightness just as well as popping an Advil®. Mix it with a couple shakes of black pepper to enhance its absorption in your body, boost your immune symptoms, and even aid in reducing depression.
